About me
Palliative care helps patients with the challenges that arise with serious illness. In my role, I see patients when they are in the hospital and help them manage their symptoms and find coping strategies. I also help them align their goals and values with the care they receive. I am part of an excellent and thoughtful team who help me focus on treating the whole person.
The care I provide supports patients as well as those closest to them on their journey. Palliative care includes a patient's support system in meaningful conversations.
I am drawn to palliative medicine because it allows me time to sit down and learn patients' stories, helping them with their symptoms or the overwhelming emotions that can be a part of serious illness.
