About me
I’ve always been drawn to caring for people. I started in the health care field as a nursing assistant when I was a teenager. I knew then that nursing was my calling. Nursing is not just what I do, it’s what I am.
I find caring for people and formulating a therapeutic relationship with patients very rewarding. I take pride in gaining the trust of people who are at their most vulnerable when coming to the doctor's office.
When I first meet with patients, I carefully review their history with them to make sure I have the important details. I take the time to listen to their concerns, and then I reassure them that together we will come up with a plan to help them.
I find that incorporating family members into a visit can be extremely important for the patient. Family members help provide information and support. I believe that the best outcomes depend on all of us—patient, family and provider—working together.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and two rescue dogs. I enjoy traveling within the United States and relaxing quietly at home.
