About me
Pathologists oversee the clinical laboratory to ensure accurate testing of patient samples. We consult with clinicians and help them use and interpret laboratory test results for their patients.
While many pathologists work behind the scenes, my area of focus is Transfusion Medicine, which gives me a unique opportunity to work within the clinical laboratory and also provide direct patient care. As Medical Director of the Blood Bank, I help support the safe transfusion of patients in need. In the Apheresis Program, I provide clinical care to patients receiving therapeutic apheresis. In all of my roles, the most rewarding aspect of my job is being part of the team that provides outstanding clinical care to patients.
