About me
I welcome patients who have common acute or chronic pain conditions as well as those who have been told there is nothing else that can be done to help them with their pain.
Fundamentally a minimalist, my goal is to identify and treat the root cause of the pain, allow the patient to undergo the optimal therapy between visits, and reach a point where additional treatment steps may not be necessary. I seek to help patients heal while improving pain and functioning throughout the day.
My particular areas of interest include neck and back pain, neuropathic pain conditions and musculoskeletal pain. For these conditions among others, treatment may include strategies to help in coping with the pain while decreasing inflammation, injections with the focus on reducing pain, or surgical implantation of small leads or wires that may stimulate nerves to improve pain control.
I hope to be able to help by listening to each patient’s experience with pain, evaluating the cause of the pain and sharing a plan of care that clearly describes the steps needed to help a patient feel like the person they were before the pain began or the person they aspire to be after regaining control over pain. This requires clear communication and teamwork to reach our mutual goals.
