About me

As a physician assistant (PA), I work closely with a patient’s primary care provider to help the patient get the care that they need. Before I went to PA school, I was a biology teacher, so I’ve always liked science and understanding how things work.

My goal when I see patients is to listen to their concerns, and then turn that into an action plan. I like to get to the bottom of an issue and solve the problem, or at least help the patient take a step in the right direction. I also help connect patients with resources that they need to help be successful with their care.

Despite not being a primary care provider, I have been fortunate to get to know patients well over the years. I have enjoyed creating those lasting relationships and look forward to continuing them. We often discuss preventative care such as nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle changes. These things could help prevent medical problems down the road.

I'm happy when a patient and I can work together to make improvements in their quality of life. If they can say they feel hopeful knowing they have a plan of care, then that’s a success. When we’re able to address a patient concern, they feel like their visit was something valuable. Any time you can take something off of somebody's plate or make them feel better, then that feels good. Helping patients feel less bogged down by their medical worries is important to me.
