About me
As a former college football player who suffered injuries, I know first-hand what it’s like to seek help from an orthopaedic surgeon. That experience taught me how important it is to have providers who are knowledgeable, compassionate and clear about when surgery can help and when it cannot.
Every patient has different needs, perspectives and expectations. My goal is to help my patients make a well-informed decision regarding their treatment, using the best evidence available. I am always as direct with my patients as possible. I want them to really understand what to expect from the care they’ll receive from me so that their experience will meet or exceed their expectations. For many patients, their best option for treatment is non-surgical. For others, surgery is their best option.
I like to include spouses, families, and other caregivers in treatment discussions. I want to make sure that the care I provide helps the patient continue to live with independence and with the best quality of life possible. When living independently is not safe, we can help direct people to the resources they need to have the best quality of life possible.
I want my patients to feel that they are part of a team that is looking out for them and helping them return to their activities and lifestyle, happy with their level of function.
