About me
As a researcher, I strive to better understand the causes and effects of addiction in vulnerable and complex populations. I develop effective treatment interventions for addiction in these groups that can be shared broadly. I use a translational science approach. This includes basic science, patient-oriented treatment, and population-based studies. I run a post-doctoral research training program.
As a public mental health administrator, I lead improvements in care for people with serious mental illness, other mental health and substance use conditions, and related health conditions. I work with state administration teams to learn how specific programs can improve people's lives while also being more efficient and effective.
