I believe good emergency care starts with listening. My goal is to understand what is happening, look for problems that may be serious, and explain each step in a clear way. The emergency department can feel stressful and uncertain. I try to share what I know, what I am still watching for, and why I recommend a plan.

I was drawn to emergency medicine because it brings together science, teamwork, quick thinking, and human connection. I often meet people at hard moments, when something has suddenly changed. In those moments, I want to bring calm, focus, and compassion.

A good outcome can look different for each person. Sometimes it means acting fast in a life-threatening situation. Sometimes it means easing pain, reducing fear, or helping a patient and family understand what comes next. I value families and caregivers as part of the care team, especially when caring for children.

I have worked in many care settings in the United States and around the world. Those experiences have taught me that strong care begins with listening, curiosity, and respect for each person’s story. I bring that lesson to every patient I care for.
