About me

Caring for young people and their families is at the heart of my work as a pediatric GI psychologist. I aim to support whole-person health. My journey began when I was a child after being diagnosed with a chronic GI condition. My own experiences have helped me understand how difficult GI symptoms can be for the body, heart, and mind.

Each visit is a chance to work together as a team. I listen and learn from young people and families because everyone is an expert in their own life. Using treatments proven to help (called “evidence-based care”), like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I teach skills that can make living with GI conditions easier and more comfortable. Building trust and getting to know each family matters a lot to me. Sharing information about how the brain and GI system work as well as practicing new strategies together is part of every visit.

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing young people and their families find ways to live full, meaningful lives with GI conditions. It is a privilege to support each person’s journey toward feeling better in body and mind.
