About me
I make sure to treat every patient with kindness. I listen carefully and ask questions so patients feel comfortable and know I care. The emergency department is where many people enter the healthcare system. I chose to work in emergency medicine because I want to help people when they really need it most.
I think healthcare is better when everyone knows what's going on and what to expect. I make sure families and patients understand everything so they can make important choices about their health. Patients appreciate my ability to explain things simply and answer their questions.
Working as part of a caring emergency room team means a lot to me and makes this a fun and rewarding career. Being from the South, I was raised to show respect by saying “sir” or “ma’am,” and I use those words when talking to people of all ages.
