About me
Aging often brings a mix of medical issues and life changes. These factors can influence a person's emotional state and functioning. I adopt a practical, team-based approach to geriatric psychiatry. I take time to understand your health and life. Then, I work with you and your family to find the best solutions. Sometimes, that means clarifying a diagnosis or changing medications. Other times, it’s about being a steady support during tough moments.
This approach is key in fields where mental health gets overlooked, such as oncology, dermatology, and primary care. These situations can be complex, and it’s not always clear what causes someone’s distress. It could be depression, a reaction to illness, medication side effects, or something else altogether. Psychiatry clarifies overlapping symptoms. It also guides a treatment plan that helps the whole person. Thoughtful psychiatric care can transform lives. Above all, I aim to provide steadiness, clarity, and compassion in every encounter.
