About me
Pursuing a career in oncology was a dream I embraced with passion. I like being able to make a positive contribution to the care of patients with cancer. Although many of my patients face challenging medical situations, many promising scientific advances have revolutionized how we understand and treat cancer.
The greatest reward is seeing the positive effects of my care on the lives of my patients and their families. Knowing that my efforts can profoundly impact someone's journey makes the challenges of this job worthwhile.
As one of the few Latina women in oncology and cancer research in the U.S., I'm so proud to represent Latina women's hard work and professionalism in science. My enthusiasm for my work helps me form lasting connections with my patients and their families. Their expressions of gratitude inspire and drive me in my work.
