As an addiction care provider, I am interested in learning how my patients feel that their use of substances may be affecting their health, functioning, and relationships. I value patients as a member of their treatment team. I strive to find strategies that will support them in reaching their personal and health goals. Recovery, or improved health and wellness, is possible for everyone.

Addiction care is the most relevant and rewarding work I have done as a nurse. After 15 years, I continue to be inspired by the positive impact that substance use education, prevention, and treatment has on empowering people to make changes that lead to happier and healthier lives.
