About me

I am a pathologist who specializes in head and neck cancers, urologic cancers and medical kidney diseases. I combine information from a patient’s medical record, microscopic and other laboratory test results to provide information that helps patients and their physicians make treatment decisions.

Being a pathologist allows me to work at the exciting intersection of scientific discovery and clinical medicine. This field lets me help other health care professionals by clearly and accurately communicating the results of my work. My role as a pathologist also allows me to play a key role in consulting with and educating my colleagues about exciting changes in the science of medicine.

Even though I mostly work “behind the scenes,” it’s a rare privilege when I am contacted by a patient who wants to discuss their pathology findings face-to-face. Whether or not I get to meet my patients in person, I am always motivated by the fact that each glass slide represents a patient who deserves the best diagnostic information to empower their health care journey.
