About me
I want patients to undergo surgery with as little anxiety and discomfort as possible. To achieve that, I’m always ready with a plan, reassurance and a warm, undistracted, unrushed air.
Every family has its own unique way of communicating and coping. That’s why meeting with a patient’s family and friends is an important step in the process. Learning how my patients communicate and cope with the stresses of illness and surgery enables me to offer the best care I can.
I welcome advocacy on behalf of loved ones. When trusted individuals take patients to the hospital, I do my best to include them in evaluations and interviews. I listen to and answer their questions thoroughly.
Excellent perioperative care involves the patient's entire support system. That extends from family members and friends to Dartmouth Health’s wonderful clinicians and staff. Together, we create a safe and comfortable environment for all my patients.
