About me
My enjoyment of almost all medical specialties made it impossible to choose one. Luckily, hospital medicine lets me do a bit of everything, integrating specialist expertise into the whole care of a patient. It’s an active field with new research and treatments appearing frequently, which keeps things interesting and allows me to best care for my patients.
My strategy is to adjust depending on the personality and past of each patient. I encourage them not to hold back. The more information I have, the better I can care for them. And while not everything may be fixed, we’ll work together to ensure they’re better than when they came in. If my patient is smiling, it reassures me that things have gone well. In the words of Doc Holliday, “I’m your huckleberry.” I’m the one for the job.
