I am drawn to medicine and its unique opportunity to improve people's lives. Urogynecology allows me to improve the quality of life for women with incontinence and other pelvic floor disorders.

I am here to listen to my patients' concerns and help them choose the right treatment for them. I take time, listen, and discuss problems in a way that my patient can understand, allowing time for questions and feedback. I encourage my patients to be active participants in tailoring a treatment plan that works best for them.

Many women are uncomfortable talking about problems with their bladder, bowel continence, or pelvic floor muscles. I encourage my patients to bring a friend or family member with whom they are comfortable sharing such concerns. A second set of ears is better to help process the information. We can have a thorough discussion about the cause of the problem and the different treatment options.

Successful treatment comes in many forms. My goal is to allow women to return to their daily activities. It brings me joy to see my patients returning to vacations, outdoor activities and exercising without worrying about embarrassing bladder and bowel problems.
