About me
I always wanted to be in a role where I could help children reach their full potential. I love interacting with kids, and find them so resilient and joyful. If they're given the right environment, they can come back from so much. I follow my patients through so many developmental stages, and I like to see that potential—from what kids face now to what they can become. It’s nice to have that longitudinal perspective and reassure families that what is happening now is part of an ebb and flow.
I individualize my approach, based on the patient’s and their family’s needs. I always want patients to have a safe and healthy environment. But I also understand when it's impossible to do certain things because of circumstances in the household. I try to go the extra mile when patients need things, and do my best to accommodate them. I’m very timely getting back to patients’ families so that they have answers to their questions and understand what the next steps are.
A successful outcome is when you have a well-adjusted child and a family that feels like they have the resources to take good care of them. It means looking at the whole patient and making sure they have all they need from a physical, psychological, and emotional standpoint. We offer a continuum of care that culminates with preparing young adult patients to take on more and more of their own healthcare decisions.
