About me
I became a midwife because I wanted the opportunity to provide evidence-based care for women from their childbearing years through menopause.
I value shared decision-making. I collaborate with my patients to help them become active participants in their health care decisions. My care involves listening, supporting, educating, and empowering my patients. I help them feel prepared and ready for labor and the birth of their newborn.
My goal is for my patients to have a healthy, safe pregnancy and the birth experience they envision. Helping a birthing person through pregnancy, labor, and delivery is a rewarding experience every single time.
I worked as a maternal child health nurse and clinical nurse educator for many years. During that time, I found a passion for neonatal resuscitation and stabilization. I became a Neonatal Resuscitation instructor and plan to continue teaching these courses while working as a midwife.
