About me

Dr. Moncrief is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He engages in clinical work, supervision, education, and research in multiple settings including Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire Hospital, and Hanover Psychiatry. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in the states of New Hampshire and Vermont. Dr. Moncrief has extensive experience providing adult neuropsychological assessment services with specialty focus on adult ADHD, neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease), psychiatric conditions, cognition in healthy aging, pre-surgical evaluations, epilepsy, and other neuromedical disorders affecting brain health and behavior. He also provides structured cognitive skills training. 

Dr. Moncrief completed a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology on the Neuropsychology Track at Pacific University and internship at the VA Portland Healthcare System in 2019. He subsequently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Dartmouth Health. He holds memberships in the National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, American Epilepsy Society, and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society. He has lectured across the U.S. and published research in several scientific journals. 

Dr. Moncrief is an advocate for empowering individuals and their families through understanding of cognitive and other neurobehavioral challenges by working collaboratively to improve brain health and quality of life.
