As part of the hospital medicine team, I manage my patients’ medical care while they are in the hospital. I work closely with their primary and specialty providers to create a care plan that addresses their medical needs. This plan also supports their emotional, social, and spiritual needs and goals.

As a nurse practitioner, I have a holistic approach to the medical care I provide. Good care involves so much more than prescribing medications to treat a specific illness. It involves understanding each patient’s unique needs and addressing them to the best of my ability. It involves communicating openly and honestly with my patients and their support systems. It also means helping to make sure the patient has continued care after they leave the hospital.
