About me

When I meet with my patients for their surgical consultation, I won't rush them. I take the time to answer all their questions. I want them to understand their disease and be involved in all the treatment decisions.

My role is to help patients feel confident and informed after their consultation (whether or not they are having surgery). I always to try to give them options for treatments and do my best to help them select a treatment that is appropriate for them.

Patients often comment on how I am professional but laid back. I am honest and straightforward but I give them information with compassion. My personality is warm and bubbly. They feel comfortable with me and assured that they will get good care.

It is a big privilege for patients to trust me and allow me to operate on them. I get to know my patients and they get to know me. I spend a lot of my time in my follow-up visits not talking about their diagnosis. We talk about personal things that matter to them, like their pet or their travel plans, or their children.
